And that means walnuts, and plenty of them. We’re being inundated with walnuts. Who knew a walnut tree – which looks medium size to me – could produce so many walnuts? Every morning we do ‘walnut patrol’ to see how many have fallen in the night. Often we see evidence of some critter or other

As part of the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Noorbeek at end of World War II, a convoy of Allied vehicles progressed through the main street of Noorbeek, turning right into Vroelenstraat just next to our Lodge. It was quite an amazing sight and drew a large crowd of onlookers.

After an arduous and long flight from Melbourne, our cat Pumpkin has arrived in the Netherlands. We drove from Noorbeek to Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport to collect him.
